What kind of bikes does AOA rent?

Road bikes, mountain bikes, casual cycling bikes, and children’s bikes. Sorry, we do not have any tandem bikes or e-bikes available.

What bike brands does AOA carry?

AOA’s rental fleet is typically comprised of Trek, Specialized, and Giant bikes with the occasional addition of smaller niche brands such as Santa Cruz.

Are reservations required?

Reservations are not required but are recommended.

Can I walk in a rent a bicycle?

Walk in rentals are allowed, but during our busy bike rental season of November – April, walk in customers are more likely to be disappointed in the available selection.

Is a deposit required when I rent a bicycle?

An initial deposit of at least 10% is required to reserve a bike. The balance due is auto-charged to the card on file two days prior on rental reservations unless other arrangements are made. The balance must be paid in full before the bike leaves the shop. There is no additional deposit on top of the rental fee in order to rent a bike.

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash, check and all major credit cards are accepted as payment; however, all reservations require a valid credit card on file.

Can you deliver the bike to my location?

We can deliver bikes to a number of hotels and resorts in the area as long as you are a registered guest. We would first recommend calling the hotel or resort where you will be staying to see if they will accept a bike delivered on your behalf. We cannot deliver bikes to private residences, Airbnbs, etc. Same day deliveries or pick ups cannot be accomodated, advanced notice is required.

Do I need to bring my own tools, pump, tire irons, and spare tube?

No, each rental will include a flat repair kit consisting of a spare tube, tire levers, a small hand pump, and a multi-tool device.

What is provided with all rentals?

Helmet, flat repair kit, pedals: flat or clipless upon request, bike lock upon request, and water bottles.

What are the rental period durations?

Our shortest rental duration is 4 hours. Otherwise our rentals occur in increments of 24 hours.

When does my rental period start?

The rental period starts at the time that you made the reservation for, not the time you arrive to pick up your bike. Modifications to the reservation start and/or end times can be made up to 48-hours prior to the rental period.

Can I extend my rental?

Please call us to discuss this option. Sometimes it’s possible to extend a rental, but in many cases during our busy season there will be another reservation waiting for the same bike, so it may not be possible to extend your rental.

What if I return the bike late?

If your bike is returned late, your card on file will be auto-charged by our system to extend the rental duration. For example, a 1 day rental will be charged for a 2 day rental if the bike is returned after it is due back.

What if I have a flat tire?

Each bike includes a flat repair kit with all of the necessary tools to change a flat tire. Unfortunately, we cannot send mechanics to your location to assist with flats.

What's your cancellation policy?

Reservations are fully refundable up 48 hours before the rental duration starts.
