| Warm winter riding! Awesome single-track, beautiful views, towering cacti, 75-degree weather, all when it is too cold to ride at home! Nobody knows the deserts of central Arizona better than the guides who live there. Each day will find you riding rolling single-track with amazing views of the most lush desert in the world and jagged mountain ranges surrounding you. If we have had a wet year, expect seas of vibrant wildflowers. At rest breaks your guide's knowledge of the flora, fauna, geology and history of this unique eco-system will fascinate you. Highlights include incredible views, gorgeous one-way trails designed specifically for mountain bikes and a gorgeous finale in the red rocks of Sedona.

Gulf Islands Cycling |

With quiet roads that let you peek through deer and trees to fabulous water views -- and sunsets so rich, sky and harbor look like the inside of a copper kettle -- the lovely Canadian Gulf Islands are a cyclist's delight. Working our way to three of the most beautiful islands in the Gulf Island archipelago, we start with the charms of Western Canada's oldest city, stately Victoria. After cycling up Vancouver Island's Saanich Peninsula, ferries deliver us to Mayne, Galiano and Salt Spring islands for great bicycling along coastal roads and possible sightings of eagles, sea lions and whales. We'll follow the ancient footsteps of the Coastal Salish Indians and bask in the serenity of islanders who protect the old-growth beauty. Though the rolling hills can be challenging, our trip is fully van supported, and the rewards are grand -- beautiful inns, fresh Pacific air, gourmet seafood and ahhh-inspiring sunsets.
