Tour Inclusions and Terms & Conditions

All AOA tours include CPR/First Aid certified professional guide(s), roundtrip transportation, bottled water, trail snacks, Sonoran Desert handbook (1 per family), all required equipment for the selected tour(s), all applicable taxes, permit fees and insurance. Tours require at least 24 hours advance reservation. A credit card is required to secure a reservation. There are no charges for cancellations more than 24 hours prior to the tour date. Wearing helmets is mandatory on all AOA bike tours. Wearing life jackets is mandatory on all kayak tours and we do not allow participation in bare feet for safety concerns.

If you love a long rolling single-track, then the Pemberton Trail is the trail for you: 15.6 miles of pure exhilarating mountain biking, with breathtaking views of the mountain ranges all around you.

Cactus Cup Competitive Loops

Taliesin Overlook Trail

Three loops: all consist of steep inclines, swooping turns, technical descents, and rugged terrain. These competitive tracks are geared for mountain bikers who want to test their skills as riders.

Trail 100 Ride

Gateway Loop

Also called the Charles M. Christiansen Memorial Trail, it traverses the Phoenix Mountains Preserve East to West. From easy rolling terrain to steep climbs that will challenge almost any good rider, you can choose your own poison.

Pass Mountain Ride

Pass Mountain Ride

This trail makes a wide loop around the multiple 3,000-foot-high peaks of Pass Mountain for continual panoramic views of cholla-dotted arid plains and the jagged volcanic ridgelines of the Goldfield Mountains.

Lost Dog Wash Ride

Sunrise Peak Trail

A 4.5 mile round trip to a saddle overlooking Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, the ride is one gradual climb with breathtaking views over the City of Scottsdale. It gets harder when we go on the other side of the saddle and back.

Epic Double Bypass

Hidden Valley Fun

The locals call it the double bypass: up Wingate Pass and Bell Pass. This ride is not for the faint of heart. If you don’t know what LT means, no need to join this ride.

Tour de Scottsdale Route (Road)

Go John Trail

Whether clockwise or counter clockwise, climbing is involved in one of the best road rides in the Valley, riding around the McDowell Mountains, through the Sonoran Desert with spectacular views of the Four Peaks and the Superstition Mountains.
