Discover the Superstition Mountains |

This land of towering spires and deep canyons was formed by volcanic upheaval some 29 million years ago. The Superstition Mountain has long been the source of stories and tales about lost gold. This hike will offer amazing view of Weavers Needle, a 1000-foot spire of hardened lava that stands 4553 feet above sea level.

The only access to this trail is across the river from Saguaro Lake Ranch. After an amazing hike which will take you to the top of the cliffs, it’s time to backtrack to the Ranch for lunch and the start of our afternoon of wildlife viewing down the Salt River. Wild horses and Bald Eagles are not uncommon on this stretch of the river.
